K'NAAN WINS BIG AT THE 2010 JUNOS!!

If you were checking in, you know that we were announcing K'NAAN at the JUNOS all weekend as the details came in, and here's our wrap up!

This past weekend at Canada's 39th annual JUNO awards, K'NAAN took home TWO AWARDS on THREE NOMINATIONS! The first, for ARTIST OF THE YEAR and the second for SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR! This is the first time K'NAAN has taken 2 awards at the JUNOS (in 2006 he won for Rap Recording of the Year). This is an incredible honor, up against some of Canada's great artists Diana Krall, Jann Arden, Johnny Reid, Michael Buble, METRIC, Joel Plaskett and Carly Jepsen.

Last night's show was a hell of an event with performances by Drake, Justin Beiber, and more and it finished up with a HUGE VERSION of K'NAAN's "Wavin Flag", where he was joined by several of the performers that were a part the Young Artists for Haiti version. You gotta see it!!
